The card variations in the Australia and New Zealand The Garbage Gang 3rd Series are completely different than the United States Garbage Pail Kids 3rd Series, but all of the character names and card numbers are exactly the same.

Additional Notes

     This series was separately released in Australia and New Zealand, but the cards are exactly the same. However, the packaging was different. The Australia The Garbage Gang 3rd Series pack wrapper has "The most 'orrible of Garbage Gang characters have arrived!" on the back, and the New Zealand The Garbage Gang 3rd Series pack wrapper has a 1990 Garbage Gang wall calendar offer on the back.

     The checklists have "Garbage Pail Kids" printed at the top instead of "The Garbage Gang".

     There were two puzzles used in the Australia and New Zealand The Garbage Gang 3rd Series. The "a" cards feature puzzle pieces from Puzzle A, and the "b" cards feature puzzle pieces from Puzzle B except for card 110b U. S. Arnie, which has a card back variation that shows the completed Puzzle A. Puzzle A is of Handy Randy / Jordan Nuts, which is also the character featured on the packaging for the series. However, the character Handy Randy / Jordan Nuts is from the United States Garbage Pail Kids 5th Series and is not on any of the card fronts of the Australia and New Zealand The Garbage Gang 3rd Series. Puzzle B is of Mugged Marcus / Kayo'd Cody.
